Getting inked up and dining out...

Yesterday was a very exciting day in the world of Mom & I... we got matchy tattoos!!! I took her to get her first one the last time we were in Hawaii, and this time, it was actually her idea to get her second (and my fourth)!!!

This is her getting hers...

And then it was my turn...

And the finished product. Mom and I are very 'hi' type people, and HI is also Hawaii's state abbreviation, and of course a little plumeria...

Last night, was, unfortunately, Katie's last night, and we all went out for a nice dinner. The place was marvelous. A little place in Kapa'a called the Lemongrass Seafood Grill. Seriously some of the best crab cakes I have ever had in my life. I had the Macademia nut encrusted Sea Bass that was done perfectly with a sweet chili sauce to top... my mom had bok choi for the first time ever and loved it, and they had a few vegetarian options to choose from for Katie!!!

And of course, since you all knew that I was going to have to video it... my ukulele debut:

Mom and I are on our last night in Kauai tonight, it is a sad occasion reaching the end of ones vacation... Tomorrow we spend the day in Honolulu, dinner at our fave restaurant 'The House Without a Key' in the Halukelani Hotel, and then the red-eye to San Francisco, for an 8 hour layover to check out the city and then back on a plane for Toronto. Let's hope for sleep on the red-eye, shall we?
