And the finished product. Mom and I are very 'hi' type people, and HI is also Hawaii's state abbreviation, and of course a little plumeria...

Last night, was, unfortunately, Katie's last night, and we all went out for a nice dinner. The place was marvelous. A little place in Kapa'a called the Lemongrass Seafood Grill. Seriously some of the best crab cakes I have ever had in my life. I had the Macademia nut encrusted Sea Bass that was done perfectly with a sweet chili sauce to top... my mom had bok choi for the first time ever and loved it, and they had a few vegetarian options to choose from for Katie!!!
And of course, since you all knew that I was going to have to video it... my ukulele debut:
Mom and I are on our last night in Kauai tonight, it is a sad occasion reaching the end of ones vacation... Tomorrow we spend the day in Honolulu, dinner at our fave restaurant 'The House Without a Key' in the Halukelani Hotel, and then the red-eye to San Francisco, for an 8 hour layover to check out the city and then back on a plane for Toronto. Let's hope for sleep on the red-eye, shall we?
